KQNT Spokane WA 590

After a few attempts to different persons at Newstalk 590 KQNT, I received a very nice email tonight from Jerry Jensen of Clear Channel/Spokane, perfectly confirming my 15 and 22 (both KONG17) October 2007 reception. Jerry's grandfather came to the US from Tingvoll in Norway about 100 years ago. Tingvoll is about three hours by car from Trondheim, and I've been there several times.

As a native of Tingvoll, I'm a bit curious about Jerry's grandfather. Did Jerry say what his name was, and which farm or village he came from?

Here is what Jerry wrote to me: "Yes, I am of Norwegian heritage. My grandfather, Olaf Jensen, came to the US in the early 1900's, first settling in Minnesota and then moving west to Washington State. As I recall, he was from the Tingvold area of Norway. My father brags about being from hardy Norwegian stock -- my grandfather lived until he was 92 and my father will be 91 in March and is still going strong. Hopefully that bodes well for me!"
