WWBC Cocoa FL 1510

I was examining 1510 for signals from WWSM on October 17. I didn't hear the Pennsylvania station, but at 2238z a Christian station surfaced with a clear “… 1510 AM WWBC and 102.7 …” identification. Today I received a very nice email from Ray Kassis, President.
WWBC is a daytimer, and Ray writes: "WWBC transmitts with 50 KW daytime and 25 KW two hours before local sunset. I believe you heard the station running 25 KW".
The station was heard from the listening post at Kalvøya, Smøla. Thanks for a most welcome verification, Ray! And thanks to Arild Skalmeraas for crucial information.

I still miss a lot of the stations from Ontario low in the AM band. Got CKGL-570 last season, and on October 20 CKTB finally was heard as well. Check!
Thanks to Joe Gurney, Chief Engineer, for a kind confirmation.

WVNA Tuscumbia AL 1590

WVNA was heard with a enjoyable signal on KONG19 in the morning of October 17, with a promo for the University of Alabama and a “AM 1590 WVNA …” identification a minute before the top of the hour. Thanks a lot to Jeffrey Vaughn for a kind and most welcome verification! Only my second QSL from Alabama after 30 years as a NA DX'er.

LU15 Radio Viedma, Viedma RN 800

Finally also LU15 Radio Viedma replied! This station turned out to be a hard one, but today I received a very nice email from Valeria Rébora with a confirmation of my July 23 reception.
The second station from Argentina on 800 kHz this summer. Viedma is the capital of the province of Río Negro "al norte de la Patagonia".

August 3 was a great day for hearing South Americans, and one of the new stations was Concepto AM surfacing on 1050 kHz, where both SODRE and LV27 Radio San Francisco are far more common. The station has a web page at www.conceptoam.com.ar

WAEL Radio 600, Mayagüez 600

I heard WAEL Radio 600 AM for the first time on October 2, 2005 - a great weekend for DX at Smøla. I had given up receiving a verification, but a reminder last night gave me this pleasant surprise this morning!
Things have happened to this station since I heard them, allow me to quote mr. Luis Pirallo: "Esa frecuencia hace casi tres años pertenece a otra compañia (Univision). Las nuevas siglas (call letters) son W Y E L. Nosotros seguimos operando una estacion de radio FM (WAEL FM) en la frecuencia de 96.1 mhz."

WXNI Westerly RI 1230

This station was a great surprise on October 1, heard with a fair signal on the top of the hour. They are Rhode Island's National Public Radio, and run the same program as WRNI 1290 and 102.7. See wrni.org for details, and please do support National Public Radio!
Thanks to Robert Seay for the confirmation.

HO... La Voz de la Esperanza, Panamá 1560

One of my main targets for this season was fulfilled when I heard Radio Adventista "La Voz de la Esperanza" on March 22, and it was completed today when I received an email confirmation from Pr. Eliecer Lara, Director. Muchas gracias!
