Due to super dominant WZAN from Portland, Maine, it isn't easy to hear other stations from the US east coast on 970 AM. But WNYM has been a "schläger" this excellent season - at least it was heard on Smøla on November 17, 2009.Second time I listened to my recording I heard an “AM 9-70 The Apple” identification in their local afternoon - at 4.30 EST. Today I received an email from Stuart Engelke confirming my reception: "That definitely was us you heard. Took me about 4 listens to get it but it was us." The next week I also got their QSL card by mail.
