HCNY2 Radio Cristal, Guayaquil 870
Muchas gracias, director Julio Juan Romero Rivas, for confirming my 13 September 2008 reception of Radio Cristal! This was a fantastic day for receiving AM radio signals from South and Central America, and I heard several new stations from Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

HJPM Radio Galeón, Santa Marta 890
13 September 2008 was a morning with lots of interesting radio signals reaching Kalvøya. I have spent some time examining recordings from that day, and one of the stations I found is Radio Galeón. I received an email today, 10 days after I sent my reception report via air mail. Thanks to Henrik Klemetz for valuable help with the identification! My first QSL ever from a station in Departamento de Magdalena.

HJ.. Radio Nacional de Colombia, Barranquilla 680
I didn't even know about the chat function in Gmail until I suddenly was contacted that way by Clara Robayo, who works for Radio Nacional de Colombia! Clara is 33, she's a journalist and she lives in Bogotá. We had a nice chat in English before she sent me an email with a confirmation of my reception. Thank you, Clara!

HJBY Radio Ciudad de Flandes, Flandes 1450
Another great logging during fantastic conditions at Kalvøya on 7 September 2007 was Radio Ciudad de Flandes, heard with a nice signal on 1450 around 01 UTC. To my surprise I found something interesting in my inbox today - a Sunday - from Elkin Suàrez (locutor-productor), who sent me a very nice email entitled "AGRADECIMIENTO POR RECEPCION DE RADIO CIUDAD DE FLANDES-COLOMBIA".
This was my 7th QSL from Latin America this week.

HI.. Radio María, Santo Domingo 1240
The Radio María organization has a QSL service at qsl@radiomaria.org, and the QSL manager is well known Italian DX'er Giampiero Bernardini from who I received a letter and two stickers short time after my email reception report. This station was heard on 26 September 2007, during remote DX from the beautiful island of Kalvøya.
Thank you, Giampiero!

YVOY Radio Los Llanos, Calabozo 1330
It's almost 5 years since I heard Radio Los llanos during a visit to Kalvøya, and I sent a reminder by email a few days ago. Now I received a very nice email from Eleazar Ramos Ortega, Presidente, confirming my 4 October 2003 reception.

CP.. Radio Encuentro, Sucre 920
22 August 2008 was a great day for listening to South American radio stations, and 920 seems to be a very exciting frequency this season. 920 was where I heard my first station ever from Bolivia on mediumwave - exactly 30 1/2 years after I started with this fantastic hobby.
The station was heard giving an ID with a nice signal. Late last night I received two emails from Jose Antonio Enriquez S. The first one had a link to an electronic post card, the second one contained a confirmation letter and also a 5 min 22 sec long recording of a programme where they read my letter and played my MP3 recording on the air! A very fascinating verification indeed, and certainly one of my best QSLs ever.
Muchas gracias, Jose Antonio!

WVWI Radio One, St. Thomas 1000
One of the stations which has been in the upper part of my "Most Wanted" list for years is WVWI from St. Thomas in the American Virgin Islands. This station also was one of the main targets this season, and with my two SDR-IQ's operating from Kalvøya since late August the possibility to hear this station was considered fair. And yesterday WVWI had a huge signal on the top of the hour at 05 UTC, giving a perfect ID and a jingle!
11 minutes after I sent my reception report and MP3 recording by email today, I received a very nice email from Heather Ackley, Marketing Director in the Ackley Media Group.
Thank you, Heather, for confirming my reception so quickly and in a perfect way!

CFCB Corner Brook NL 570
Richard King sent me an email, very early in the morning at his place, to confirm my 12 September 2004 (Kalvøya) reception of this 1000 watts station. I heard them with a "CFCB" identification at 02.05 their local time, so it must have been a special occasion.

YVQU Radio San Carlos, San Carlos 920
Honestly, have you ever heard about Estado Cojedes? WRTH 2008 lists one single station in Cojedes, and I have to admit I hadn't heard about this state until I wrote a reception report to Radio San Carlos, heard on 920 on 22 August 2008 at Kalvøya, northwest of Kristiansund on the Norwegian mid west coast.
I got email replies both from William Vera - El Papasito de Radio San Carlos - and from Tomás Pérez, both kindly confirming my reception of this very nice radio station. Radio San Carlos was my QSL no. 40 on mediumwave from Venezuela.

OAX4U Radio Cielo, Lima 1010
Radio Cielo 1010 from Lima was one of the very exciting radio stations being heard at Kalvøya two weeks ago, and Radio Cielo was actually heard both mornings (22 and 23 August). This was one of the first stations found on my Perseus recordings, so the Perseus made an impressive first impression! So did Radio Cielo, which has a very professional web page at www.radiocielo.com.pe.
Raúl Arias, Director de prensa, sent me a nice email to confirm my reception. Jan Alvestad heard this station at his excellent QTH on the beach near Tjelta on 23 August, and was the one who first noticed this logging.

What a night! I just found a couple of excellent cathes on 920 from my trip to Kalvøya in August, and at the same time I found an email from Mexico in my inbox. Adrian Montes kindly confirmed my 15 October 2007 (KONG17) reception of Línea Deportiva.
