Ben Blecha confirmed my December 12, 2009 reception of KSTC, heard with a fair signal in Kongsfjord.Ben writes: "I absolutely love getting these requests. WTEM Washington DC 980
Dennis Glasgow, VP of Operations, confirmed my January 18 reception of ESPN 980 in a short email today. WTEM became my third station from DC, and my sixth new NA on 980 this season. Thank you, Dennis!

JOUK NHK-1 Akita 1503
January 10 was a great day for hearing NHK1 stations at 1000 UTC, and among 6 new stations was JOUK. After 8 days I got an air mail letter with a QSL card and a lot of stuff, confirming my reception of this 10 kW station.

WRMN Elgin IL 1410
The quality of the WRMN signal heard on my southern antenna (Smøla) on December 13 was far from loud and clear, but Michael Hunziker listened to my recording three times using using the production facility they have at the station and could hear "WRMN 1410, Elgin". Thanks for your efforts, Michael, and thanks for the confirmation!

It was a great surprise hearing WABH, which was a totally unknown station to me. First heard on January 7, and quickly confirmed by Doug Guyer who also supplied me with 7 photos from the station a week later. Thank you Doug!

KCMD Portland OR 970
Thor Waage, Engineer, and of Norwegian and Icelandic heritage, sent me an email today with a letter attached to confirm my November 23, 2009 reception of Freedom 970. KBNW Bend OR 1340 was heard at the same time, so this might have been a pretty fair day for hearing Oregon.
WKOK Sunbury PA 1070
Still missing a handful of stations on 1070, I have to spend some of my life there. January 5th gave me WKOK 1070 at 2200z, heard on my southern antenna. This reception was kindly confirmed by Drew Kelly.

WERC Birmingham AL 960
A long and very nice email from Bob Newberry, Engineering Director, confirmed my December 30, 2009 reception of WERC. This station was heard on my southern antenna (Smøla). We've had temparatures around -20 degrees Celsius here in Trondheim this week, but it's very cold also in Alabama according to Bob: "We are expecting 1 inch of snow and a very low temperature of about -10 C tonight. That is cold for our area! We usually see only a few flakes of snow each year. Keep scanning the dial Arnstein!"
