Thanks a lot Valorie Stitely, General Manager, for confirming my 19 October 2008 reception of Inspirational Radio KPRO 1570 AM. Thanks also for the three stickers and your business card received by mail a few days later.

KJDY John Day OR 1400

One of a few reception reports sent while still at KONG18 was the one to KJDY. The same evening I received a very nice email from Phil Gray, Manager, confirming my 23 October 2008 reception and giving some information on his home town: "Our town is very small, only 1885 people. The total population of our county is 7900 people scattered out over 4800 square miles, so you can see there are not many people around here. We are also very isolated. It takes 3 and a half hours to get to a city of over 20,000!"

JORF RF Radio Nippon, Yokohama 1422

During my stay at the KONG18 DXpedition in Arctic Norway I received a letter from Japan back home. RF Radio Nippon sent me a letter and a QSL card to confirm my 17 October 2006 (KONG15) reception. They also sent two stickers and my USD back.

KVAN Burbank WA 1560

"Hei, god ettermiddag", Jim Bock started his very nice email to confirm my 21 October 2008 (KONG18) reception of KVAN. He continues like this: "Alexandra Communications is located in Walla Walla, Washington. (We're in the southeastern corner of the state) Walla Walla is well-known for ultra-premium wines, sweet onions and wheat. I can honestly say it is about as far from Norway as possible, but, of course Arnstein, I invite you anytime."
This station is heard with its nice smooth jazz format quite often here in Arctic Norway.
Thank you, Jim!

KRWB Roseau MN 1410

"I don't think there are that many Classic Rock AM's in the US", Mike Pederson, Owner/operator, writes in a nice email, also confirming my 15 October 2007 (KONG17) reception of this most wanted radio station from Minnesota. Thanks a lot, Mike!

9 new Minnesota stations discovered in my KONG17 recordings so far, and now all of them have replied to me.

Radio Centrafrique, Bangui 6100

It took almost 28 years from my first reception report to Radio Centrafrique in January 1981, heard on 5035 kHz those days, until I received a QSL from Bangui. Last time I heard them was on 13 October 2001 when they surfaced on 6100 kHz during the KONG6 DXpedition. They have a quite new web site at http://www.radiocentrafrique.org/ giving sufficient information to obtain this confirmation.

Great thanks to Don DeCesare, General Manager, for the nice email and the confirmation of my reception.

CMKS Radio Trinchera Antiimperialista, Guantánamo 1020

I discovered this station on 1020 kHz a few days ago, and Henrik Klemetz helped me find out it was Radio Trinchera Antiimperialista which is unlisted in the WRTH 2008 on this frequency. The date of reception was 13 September 2008 and the QTH was of course Kalvøya, Smøla.
Thanks to Rolf Torvik for the hospitality, to Henrik Klemetz for great help identifying the station and to Mabel Pozo Ramírez for confirming my reception in an email tonight!
