KLZ Denver CO 560

After I managed to reach the new KLZ AM 560 "The Light!" via email (again thanks to info received from OJ), I received a quick reply with a confirmation of my KONG17 reception from Mike Triem, General Manager.

ZIZ Radio, Basseterre 555

ZIZ Radio was heard with an excellent quality at Smøla on 23 September 2007, and thanks to v/s information received from OJ Sagdahl a few days ago I received an email tonight, confirming my reception of this very nice St. Kitts & Nevis station. ZIZ Radio has a nice web page at www.zizonline.com

CB93 Radio Nuevo Mundo, Santiago 930

Finally I received a confirmation of my 7 September 1996 reception of Radio Nuevo Mundo - heard on 930,22 kHz. I heard this station almost in the same moment as OJ heard PJD-2 1300 for the very first time (we used one single received in those days), and now I've got QSL from both. I'm very pleased with that. Radio Nuevo Mundo has a web site at www.radionuevomundo.cl

ZYK688 Rádio Morada do Sol, São Paulo 1260

Rádio Morada do Sol was heard on that fantastic night of 7 September 2007 at Smøla, and this email from Tito Santos counts as a confirmation of my reception.
This was my QSL no. 100 from Brazil.

KVIN Ceres CA 920

22 October 2007 was a fantastic day for listening to North American AM stations in Kongsfjord, and a few days ago I found a station identification sounding like "KVIN" when I listened to a 920 recording.
Jim Bryan, General Manager / Owner, confirmed my reception this way:

"I have received your reception report of October 22, 2007, and can confirm that KVIN was broadcasting at the time, and I can make out our announcer saying "KVIN" on your mp3 recording. [...] This is the longest distance reception report we have had in the 10 years I've owned and managed KVIN."

He also attached a coverage map and a format sheet. Thanks a lot for your attention, Jim!

To the best of my knowledge this station is previously unheard in the Nordic countries, and it should be one of my best from KONG17. And I'm still far from having examined all my recordings from that day ...

CB130 Radio Tierra, Santiago 1300

What a Friday 13th! After having enjoyed one of the greatest football matches ever - The Netherlands beating France 4-1 in Euro 2008 - I received a very surprising reply from CB130 Radio Tierra, which was heard on that memorable night at Smøla. Thanks a lot to Jorge Loayza Charad for confirming my 7 September 2007 reception in a perfect way.

This also took my response rate from Latin America to a record high level: 70,3%

WALO Radio Oriental, Humacao 1240

It was quite a surprise to find this nice email from Beatriz Archilla, Gerente, among about 200 spam emails attacking my inbox during the week end. This confirmed my 11 September 2007 (Smøla) reception of WALO Radio. Attached to the email I found 6 photos and this coverage map.
A perfect letter and a WALO car license plate (!) arrived by post on 16 June. A great reply from a great radio station.

WCCW Traverse City MI 1310

Some people are straight to the point. One of them is Operations Manager Brian R. Hale, who sent me an email entitled "DX confirmation" with a QSL letter attached. This confirmed my 13 October 2007 (KONG17) reception of 1310 ESPN Radio. A few things from the letter:

" I have listened to your attached mp3 and made an easy identification…It is my voice on the station identifacation.

Over the past year I have received many DX confirmation requests, most have been from Finland. I believe yours is just the 2nd from Norway."
