HJHJ Radio Libertad, Barranquilla 600

First QSL this week came from a station heard at Lista in southwestern Norway in November 2005: HJHC Radio Libertad, Barranquilla 600. Very nice email from John Sossa, and later in the day I received another very nice email, this time from Wilfrido Salgado Sierra. He could tell that the program I heard was Concierto Vallenato.

O.... Radio Reina de la Selva, Chachapoyas (Amazonas) 5486,68

Very nice reply last night from a great radio station in Chachapoyas, Perú: Radio Reina de la Selva 5486,68.
José David Reina, Gerente General, sent me a nice email with four photos from Chachapoyas attached. He writes that Chachapoyas was founded by the Spanish on 5th September 1538, and is situated 2250 metres above sea level. It's the capital of the Departamento de Amazonas.

OAU4V Radio María Perú, Chilca-Huancayo (Junín) 1240

Yes! My QSL no. 49 from Perú and the second on MW - OAU4V Radio María Perú, Chilca-Huancayo 1240 - arrived today by email. Said they had responded to an earlier email, but I haven't received that one. But this is nice! I contacted the email address found on the Radio María web, and received my reply from Ana de Martinez.

Received a long email tonight from Edgar Garcia, who is "Director de la Emisora Venezuela Llanera 960am". He attached three photos of his family, and also a map of Venezuela.
A very nice reply indeed!

Radio Viva 12-90 was heard during my first trip to Lista back in November 2005. The report was sent just a few weeks ago when I listened to some recordings, and today I received a friendly email from Diego Trujillo, confirming my reception. Very nice email and correct verification received tonight from Javier Barrios, for my report to YVZC Radio Fe y Alegría, Maracaibo, sent 75 minutes earlier.

KNEU Roosevelt UT 1250

Joe Evans, Station Owner/Manager of KNEU Roosevelt UT, kindly confirms in a letter my KONG15 October 24 2006 reception of KNEU Real Country AM 1250. He says my reception letter was the first from Norway, and also that their "night time authority is 230 watts broadcast on a 302 foot nondirectional tower".

HJXZ Santa María de la Paz Radio, Medellín 1560

22 minutes after I sent my reception report I received a nice email from Daniel Marín, confirming my reception of HJXZ Santa María de la Paz Radio, Medellín 1560. The station was heard during my visit to Smøla last week end - a quite successfull event with some really nice loggings.

Very nice email from Blanca Luz Holguín Diaz, Gerente Nacional de Producción y Programación, confirming my reception of HJKL La Cariñosa 6-10. First time I heard this station was back in 1997, under the name 6-10 Bolero RCN.

XERF La Poderosa, Ciudad Acuña 1570

On Monday I sent another letter to XERF by air mail, and the day after it arrived. At my address! It was returned to sender ... But the same evening I finally got an email confirmation from XERF La Poderosa 1570, written by Heberto Pérez Espín, Gerente.

YVOZ Radio Tiempo, Caracas 1200

Maria Caballero writes that they are very pleased to be heard so far away, and that the station soon will be found on the web. Another email from her on 23rd March confirms my reception even clearer, and also includes a presentation of Radio Tiempo and "Tarifa Radio Tiempo 2006".

ZFB Bermuda Spirit, Hamilton 1230

Very nice email today from Barry Fraser, "Coordinator Bermuda Spirit (ZFB) 12 30 AM Radio". Things are happening on the Bermuda radio scene too, as he writes: "Thank you so much for your report. It is so good to know our station carries that far. We hope to move to FM within six months, and by then we will be streaming on the internet."
